Help Save the Honeybees!

Silly video. Serious subject. The honey bees are disappearing at an alarming rate. Did you know they are an indicator species? They reflect the health of our environment and show us the status of our interdependency of our lives here on earth. For instance. The bees pollinate alfalfa. The cows eat the alfalfa. We drink the milk. Well, you get it. No bees. No cows. No fruit. No vegetables. No flowers. No trees. No us. The only thing bees don’t pollinate is corn, grains and cotton.

In hopes of capturing the imagination of a new audience concerned with nurturing and protecting our environment, I’ve created “Just Bea” Cartoon. This strip brings awareness to environmental issues in a fun way as Bea and those around her try to make a difference for others and for the planet. I hope this strip inspires others to do the same.

My goal is to create awareness of the plight of the honey bee by creating and illustrating a children’s book as well as professionally produced animated video shorts using "Just Bea" Cartoon. There’s also an opportunity for your pet make a cameo appearance in the book and videos! Through these characters we learn that by doing just one small thing we can help make a big difference in the world. Bea and gang would spring to life in a series of adventures and engage the children in wanting find out more about the disappearing honey bee. And, with their help, they too can change the world.

How can you help? With your donation you’ll help the bees through educating the children with:

• Creation of a four-color children’s book and publishing 
• Four fun animated 2-3 minute video shorts 
• Marketing and getting the word out
• 15% Donation to “Save The Honeybee Foundation,” an educational and research organization dedicated to providing pristine, protected habitat for honey bees.
• And knowing you’re helping to create a better future for our children.
