DIYoneer Living Education Infrastructure Project

DIYoneer Living is an educational endeavor that aims to give people
information about how to become more self-reliant and sustainable with
limited financial resources and limitless imagination. We create videos and teach classes on-site that teach practices to become more connected to the environment and gain skills whose lineage may have been lost as we
remove ourselves further from the land. Classes include
soap making, herbalism, food preservation and land stewardship. We are
also working to create products from the work we do on the land,
including herbals salves, teas and naturally-dyed clothing. The money raised will go to the following projects:
1)      Creating a solar panel array to provide power for our wet workshop,
greenhouse and yurt.
2)      The building and creation of our wet workshop classroom and outdoor kitchen.
We will be creating videos of all our progress for our seeders to
follow along, including the construction of the kitchen/classroom,
construction of the rain catchment system, development of mushroom
‘bunkers’, rigging of a shower and bathroom with hot water generated
by the sun, and the construction of a cob oven.
This funding is essential to be able to create a proper educational
space with a sustainable source of water and power, whose creation and
use can be used as a teaching tool.
